Position Description: Playgroup Assistant Role (Teacher Aide)
Commencing February 2021 (Casual)
Hours of Duty Tuesday, Thursday and Friday’s 8:45am – 2:30pm (a possibility that may extend to Wednesday's in the future)
Qualifications Qualified Teacher Aide with a minimum 2 years experience and hold a current QLD Blue Card

Silkwood School is looking for an experienced Teacher Aide to support the delivery of our unique playgroup program for children aged 15 months – 5 years.
What You’ll Do:
Implementation of Program: You will work alongside our Playgroup Coordinator to implement our Playgroup Program which will involve preparing creative play and sustainably prepared craft with natural materials and objects that spark young minds. There will be an element of cleaning, tidying and preparing spaces as per our guidelines.
To effectively thrive in your role, you will need to have strong liaison and relationship building skills as this role touches many children, team members and families across the school.

We are seeking a dynamic individual who has experience working across year levels to deliver engaging woodwind lessons to our students.
We are seeking an innovative woodwind teacher who can provide:
Beginners flute, clarinet and saxophone tuition
Intermediate woodwind ensemble
Private lessons for more advanced students and
Are available Friday afternoons from 12.30pm onwards
Silkwood School already has an established woodwind program, although there is room for more beginners and expansion in 2021.
